In the New Testament the Greeks used two words to represent time; chronos and kairos.
Chronos means time based on hours, minutes and seconds. Kairos simply represents the right moment, perfect timing.
It is kairos that your Soul understands above all else. A knowingness that there is a divine order to all that is taking place in life. As you move toward reconnecting with your Soul, you will find the guidance within to TRUST. Allowing you to Totally Rely Upon Spirit's Timing.
If you're working on a project or wanting to create a new career, and find yourself frustrated with the pace things are moving at, shift your attention away from chronos and toward kairos. When you've done the groundwork give yourself permission to hang back for a little bit. Create an opening for the Universe to have its turn at doing what it does best, filling the space with what you need next to move you a little closer to your ultimate desire.
The distinction you make bweteen chronos and kairos is something I just learned and experienced in October. I went on a retreat at BC called Kairos' and for the entire weekend, we lived in the world of kairons'; no watches or phones or clocks were used or seen. Beyond other incredible things that happened that weekend, the gift of kairons that weekend was marvelous being able to live each moment fully and to never feel restricted or rushed by time. Since that retreat, I've come to realize the importance and power of switching to the kairos version of time even though I'm surrounded by a world that operates in chronos time. Thanks for reminding me again of that.Meredith
